Nyhavn Copenhagen Print - Bright Colours and a Cool Sea Breeze Palette

Nyhavn is a 17th-century waterfront and canal is a gateway from the sea to the old inner city in Copenhagen, Denmark. Stretching from Kongens Nytorv to the harbour front just south of the Royal Playhouse, it is lined with brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century townhouses, bars, cafes and restaurants. Many historical wooden ships are moored along the canal which adds to its appeal.

Sitting at an outdoor cafe on the quayside of the Nyhavn canal on a sunny day, having a beer and admiring the brightly coloured townhouses and old wooden ships lined along the harbour was the inspiration for this artwork of Copenhagen.
